AMY ANDERSON

Unlike her name, Amy Anderson is Korean American. She was adopted and raised by Swedish people in Minnesota where her inevitable comedy career began. After earning a degree in classical music from the prestigious Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, and a couple years working as a temp, a waitress, a dog walker, a luggage salesperson, a boarding school dorm mother, a boy choir manager, and a behavior modification specialist for autistic adults, she decided to check out the Twin Cities comedy scene. She spent six years working in Minneapolis/St Paul as a comedian, actor, writer and improv performer and teacher before fleeing to sunny Los Angeles.

Since moving to L.A., Amy has established herself as one of the hottest up-and-coming comedians in the country. She was a finalist in the NBC/Laugh Factory Latino and Asian American Open Mic Competition and CA’s Funniest Female Competition. Amy also created and hosted the longest running Asian American stand up showcase, Chop-SHTICK at the legendary Friars of Beverly Hills. You can see Amy on the Game Show Network, Comedy Central, Sitv, Mun2, AZN and VH1 and she recently shot an episode of The Tom Joyner Show for ABC. If you have satellite radio, you can hear Amy on both Sirius and XM. Amy is currently headlining college show throughout the U.S. and working on several tv projects.
