BETH SCHUMANN

Beth’s hilarious observations and anecdotes are at once intelligent and silly. Completely at ease on stage, she consistently draws laughs at showcases and other comedy events
throughout the San Francisco Bay area and beyond. Beth speaks to many of the issues baby-boomers are facing today: high stress jobs, divorce (“I found a great way to manage my Christmas card list. Every few years I get a divorce.”), weight gain, health problems (“I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder . . . I have mixed feelings about that”), and medication. Prior to the decision to follow her bliss and be a comedian, Beth was climbing the corporate ladder and starting to get a nose bleed. Beth comes from a large, Catholic, military family, was born in Japan, and has lived and traveled all over the United States and many other countries.

What people are saying about Beth …

Beth certainly sees the world differently, and conveys that view with intelligent comedy.
Heather Woodhull, comedian and owner, Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Club

I’ve worked a few shows with Beth Schumann, one of the funniest natural talents I’ve seen in stand-up. Beth has a trusting, likable air about her. She easily captivates the audiences’ attention with humor everyone relates to.
Gayla Johnson, 3rd Place Winner, California’s Funniest Female 2003

Beth Schumann is one of the funniest and most professional female comedians out there today. Her wit, relationship with her audience, and well crafted jokes are just a few of the things that make Beth a pleasure to work with and enjoy on stage. I will never look at a cat the same way again.
Scott Everett Berger, Producer, The Comedy Outpost
