DAVE McRAE

Dave McRae is the “Heavy Metal Dad.” This ex-metal guitarist is now a father of 3, including two teenaged sons. Dave uses real life situations to comment on family life, relationships, and the world around us. He uses a story telling style that often has a bit of edginess to it. Dave has been performing comedy live since the age of 14, when he formed a comedy team Donaldson & McRae, and has performed many styles of comedy over the years including sketch, improv, and stand up. Audiences love Dave’s stories, and are won over by his unrelenting search for the truth in all the wrong places. Dave recently placed 3rd in the 2005 Rooster T Feathers Comedy Competition, and has opened for National Headliners such as Robert Schimmel. Dave performs at comedy clubs all over the bay area including Rooster T Feathers and the San Jose Improv.
